Colin Farrell Says Removing 'The Penguin' Makeup Was 'A Relief'
The actor described the process of taking off the prosthetics as 'excruciating'
Colin Farrell has revealed that removing the prosthetics and makeup he wore to play The Penguin in the upcoming film 'The Batman' was a huge relief every night.
Farrell told Variety that the process of taking off the makeup, which took about an hour and a half, was "excruciating".
"It was so much more of a relief to get out of that makeup at the end of the day than it was to get into it in the morning," he said.
Farrell also said that he found it difficult to eat and drink while wearing the prosthetics.
"I couldn't eat properly or drink properly," he said. "I had to have someone feed me or give me a straw."
Despite the challenges, Farrell said that he enjoyed playing The Penguin.
"It was a lot of fun," he said. "It was a really challenging role, but I loved it."
'The Batman' is set to be released in March 2022.
