Arsenal Women reignited their Women's Super League title hopes with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Manchester United Women at a sold-out Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Goals from Stina Blackstenius, Frida Maanum and Caitlin Foord secured all three points for Jonas Eidevall's side, who moved up to second in the table, two points behind leaders Chelsea.

The Gunners were dominant from the start and took the lead in the 12th minute when Blackstenius headed home a cross from Foord.

Maanum doubled the lead just before half-time with a stunning strike from outside the box, and Foord made it 3-0 in the second half with a close-range finish.

Manchester United never really threatened to get back into the game, and Arsenal cruised to a comfortable victory.

Conclusion

Arsenal's victory was a timely boost to their title hopes, and they will now be confident of challenging Chelsea for the WSL crown.

The Gunners have a tough run of fixtures coming up, but they will be hoping to maintain their momentum and continue their push for silverware.
