Albion Secure Third Win In Six

Albion secure third win in six

Unbeaten Baggies beat Rams

West Bromwich Albion moved to within five points of the top six in the Sky Bet Championship with a 2-1 victory over Derby County at The Hawthorns.

The Baggies took the lead through Tom Fellows in the first half and doubled their advantage through Jed Wallace after the break, with Louie Sibley pulling a goal back late on for the Rams.

The result sees Albion move up to 10th in the table, while Derby remain 23rd.

West Brom started the game brightly and took the lead in the 18th minute when Fellows headed home from Wallace's cross.

The Baggies continued to press and almost doubled their lead when Wallace saw a shot saved by Derby goalkeeper Ryan Allsop.

Derby grew into the game and had a chance to level when Sibley fired wide from close range.

However, Albion extended their lead in the 55th minute when Wallace slotted home from the edge of the box.

Derby pulled a goal back in the 85th minute when Sibley headed home from a corner, but it was too little too late for the Rams.

Albion are now unbeaten in six matches and will be looking to continue their good form when they travel to Reading on Saturday.
